The Hook

Two women — one white, one Black, close in a friendship their own country would have made illegal within living memory — driving South Africa's most beautiful ground together. On the surface, it's the trip of a lifetime. Underneath, one of them is discovering a country she was shielded from, and the other is reclaiming one that was always hers.

Six months on, once every promise made along the road has had time to come true or not, their two journeys become a single claim on a country that neither could have made alone.
